Haunted Heartland 2019

Fifteen students, and a handful of MavRadio.FM alumni, shared stories of Omaha’s past and present; some frightening, others that look at the lighter side of the season.

We investigate the impact serial killers have on society decades after their crimes; Omaha’s true, dark history of race relations; the folklore of Hummel Park, as well as the lighter side of Halloween. We know that sugar impacts our waistline, but the sales it generates boosts the economy and sets the stage for the kick-off of holiday sales. Finally, the Omaha girl who celebrates the holiday with more zeal than your average 11 year old. You can hear these and more only on MavRadio.FM and our podcast.
