Omaha Neb- Kentucky’s baseball team made history by beating Oregon State 3-2 in the super regional, earning their first-ever trip to the College World Series since it began in Omaha in 1950.

In their debut game, the Wildcats faced off against NC State. The tension was high as the game reached the ninth inning with Kentucky trailing. Ryan Nicholson stepped up and hit a dramatic home run, tying the game and giving his team a fighting chance. The game stretched into extra innings, and in the bottom of the 10th, Mitchell Daly delivered the game-winning hit, securing a 5-4 victory for Kentucky in dramatic fashion.

This year’s Men’s College World Series has been thrilling from the start, with three walk-off wins already, and Kentucky’s dramatic entry only added to the excitement.  Kentucky is 1-1 and they will have a date with Florida in an elimination game. If Kentucky beats Florida tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. Kentucky will play Texas A&M and will have to beat them twice, to move on to the championship series.
