OMAHA, Neb.- A tradition that began 49 years ago as part of the 70’s counterculture has become a world-wide celebration of what now is seen as a focus on the environment rather than anti-war resistance. April 22 marks the annual Earth Day in which 192 countries band together to provoke change in climate policy.
