Omaha, Neb. – The Omaha Mavericks swept the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs over the weekend, securing a 4-1 victory Friday night and a 5-2 win Saturday in front of enthusiastic crowds at Baxter Arena. This is the 7th straight win at home for the Mavericks.
Friday: Western Night, Strong Finish
On Friday, the Mavericks celebrated “Cowboys and Cowbells Night,” with fans decked out in western gear. Brady Risk set the tone with a goal just 2:13 into the first period, assisted by Liam Watkins and Myles Hilman. Minnesota Duluth tied the game in the second period with a power-play goal by Callum Arnott.
The Mavericks dominated the third period, with Zach Urdahl scoring twice, including an empty-net goal, and Jimmy Glynn adding another. Urdahl’s performance marked his fourth two-goal game this season, the most by any Maverick. Simon Latkoczy was stellar in net, making 39 saves.
Saturday: Offensive Depth on Display

Jimmy Glynn opened the scoring at 4:42 in the first period, and Brady Risk continued his strong weekend with two third-period goals, giving him three for the series. Harrison Israels also found the back of the net and added two assists, while Jacob Guevin contributed a first-period goal.
Minnesota Duluth struggled to capitalize on opportunities, with their lone power-play goal coming late in the third period from Jayson Shaugabay. Omaha’s power play proved lethal, going 3-for-4 on Saturday and extending the team’s streak to four straight games with a power-play goal.
