The scares were out a-plenty October 31, when the ghouls & goblins lurked about the city. While there were more 50 free Halloween parties and festivities in Omaha, MavRadio.FM chose the way our radio godfathers told stories. Many would gather around a fire and listen to radio hosts such as Orson Welles or Wolfman Jack. At MavRadio.FM, we chose to take our listeners back to a time before cell phones, Netflix ands self-driving cars. Our 6th Annual Haunted Heartland did just that. Investigative reporters scoured the area to uncover the ghost that supposedly haunted historical aircraft at the SAC Museum or the 1997 Blizzard that left thousands of downed trees, residents without power, and millions of dollars of destruction in its wake.
