(OMAHA, NEB) – Four School of Communication students earned the state’s top college radio and TV awards at the Nebraska Broadcasters Association convention Aug. 16 bringing “home” four gold awards. MavRadio talent, Lyle Kwiatkowski, earned top honors in Best Promotional Announcement for his production of “Bubbles, the Sad Clown”, while Shane Mitchell won gold for his “Meet Andrew” spot in the Best Public Service Announcement category. MavCreative student Blake Donelan, won first place for Best TV Public Service Announcement and Avery Wenck’s “Mit Mender” won Best TV Sports Feature. This is the third year of competition for the on-air Mavericks.
